Rocky VI is going to be great but I agree Rocky needs Adrian, she may not approve, but it would great to see her tell Rocky, like she did in Rocky II "win" then Rocky and Mick head out the hospital straight into training. That would have been pretty cool I think.

His brother Frank Stallone sang it in the original Rocky movie. He was one of the street singers gathered around the fire barrel when Rocky was walking Adrian home. Hope that helps.

I like the fact they used the former light heavyweight champ as one of the characters. It's kinda funny just after making this movie he lost his belt but. anyway. I think this movie is goingbe as good as all of the other rocky movies.

Every rocky film has been a big part in my life. But rocky 6 will top the lot.It inspires me to want to train harder and has taught me that if i want somethin bad enough and i am determined to try my hardest and give 100% i will do it.The fights and the training in the film give me so much adrenalin and inspiration and i actually feel like i am there. It puts me in the mood to anything and hopefully one day my fights will be won ,because life has a funny way of dealing with things but one day i will WIN,one day i will do what i dream of and my dreams will no longer be dreams but reality !!!!!

Rocky VI? OMG, I have waited for this for many many years. I can't wait to see it, it has me all mystie-eyed. See, Rocky to me is a superhero, ever since I was a kid, I could relate to the character, an underdog at what ever he tried.
The music is awesome, the characters are awesome, even the settings are awesome. And Sly at 60, man, he still has it. Wonder why Sage decided not to star as his son in the new Rocky? Very very interesting. Although I have to admit, it won't be the same without the ever-so shinning and lovely Adrian. Wonder why her character was depleted. Bet it is because Stallone wanted to finally make the official ending of ROCKY BALBOA. All in all, ROCKY BALBOA is going to be the final of all finals and the GREATEST MOVIE of 2006. "YO ROCKY.....GET UP YOU SON OF A B**CH" and GO FOR IT"

Anonymous Bilskie said...

I saw the trailer online, and immediately i went out and bought the remastered DVD set...i watched them ALL...yes, even Rocky V!!!! I still can't beleive after all these years, i STILL enjoy these films!!!

TRUE STORY HERE!!!
One day earlier this year, i think it was in Feb or March, i was driving down Front St in Philly that day.
I was just crossing over Girard Ave. when all of the sudden traffic STOPPED! I was pissed!! I was making deliveries, and i was in a hurry. So as i crossed Girard, moving no miles an hour, there was a tractor trailer in front of me, and we were stopped again!!! Arrrgghh!!!! So i reached down to get some paperwork of the floor in my truck, and when i look up...theres this jabroni standing in front of me with his hand out (telling me to stop), im thinking, "great, some Philly idiot thinks he's directing traffic".....
So, as i look beyond the idiot, wearing in a grey sweatsuit and a black wool hat, in front of me, i see cameras, and lighting equipment and a slew of people crossing the street...im thinking...OH YEAH, they're filming the Rocky movie this month!!! As the "dude" in front of me, at this point he's looking away from my truck making sure all the people cross the street, he turned around....looked at me, and waved me on...and the kicker is i ALMOST BUMPED THIS GUY...i realized who it was...all of about 5'9", italian guy....IT WAS STALLONE HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!!!! I was paralized, i didn't know what to say, so i rolled down my windowand as i slowly drove by him, i just STARED!!!
I thought...I almost BUMPED ROCKY BALBOA!!!!!! TRUE STORY PEOPLE!!!!

So SLY, if you ever read this, i was the guy in the white AIRGAS truck that day on Front St and Girard ave.... I wonder if my truck got in the movie???
We'll see!!!!

I hope that Rocky wins just to end this great saga on a good note where people are not disapointed. Hes fighting Antonio Tarver who lost is last Bout to Hopkins. in retrospect to see Rock lose to a guy that lost to another guy is not satisfying at all. granted tarver is a good fighter it would just ruin the whole series for me.
just wait to put the loss on dvd.
this movie series is an epic saga do not ruin it by losing to tarver

July 28, 2006
Anonymous Anonymous said...

yeah seriously, that contender series that was put out sucked because manfredo jr was better then sergio in the rematch that was rigged. manfredo won but judges said he lost. i guess??
dont put on another hoax Sly. Tarver is not MR.T

July 28, 2006
Anonymous zakaislynx said...

Very true, dont ruin it. this is a movie that i hope my kids someday will fall in love with just like me. common Rock can beat (beep 2200)Ivan Drago, but not a guy who got tore up by Hopkins(who by the way lost the match prior. If you got em smoke em. If Rock has anything left in basement, he should win then comeout with the Rocky Balboa grill, then do meaningless muffler advertisements.

if Dolph Lundgren can beat Skelator and not a 5'9 Italian, then it should stay that way

I agree with all of the other ROCKY fanatics!!! I am so excited about the REAL completion to the series. And at the age of 60, it just emphasizes the whole moral of the story...defying the odds. Although the first 5 were great, no one wanted to see Rocky go out like that. I have been optimistic the last 14 years that Rocky 6 would come out. When I saw Sylvester on a talk show confirm it last year, I was so excited. Then I caught a preview on TV the other day and had to check this site out. Dec 22 can't come soon enough!!!

I have watched the Rocky movies since I was 14 yrs old. I have the set of 5 on DVD and my Husband and I watch them at least once a month. The Rocky movies did give us a Hero, a man with a heart. I am so sad that Adrianne is not in the #6. Her's and Rocky's love for eachother always played such a big part in the movies. I think one of my favorite lines from the movies is when she tells Rocky in #5 that Tommy Gunn doesn't have Rocky's heart. Who could. When Sly created Rocky, he created a man with a heart the size of Philly and that is what comes through over and over again in his movies. I can't wait to see #6. Sly if you ever read these, thanks for Rocky and Adrianne and all of the other charactors. The movies truly are incredible, that's right all 5 of them:) Good Luck....

This is truly remarkable...people who are nuts like i am to love the Rocky saga. I was eight years old when Rocky came out and I was hooked. He is the most inspirational character (other than Michael Corleone) who has always given me a feeling of warmth and treasure, he has always been a good guy and Adrian is also a good supporter of his decisions. As Rocky 5, i was not so pleased with "Tommy Gunn" ..however, when Adrian says to Rocky at the doctors office "When you love someone, you live with them, you live for them....you don't gamble with a life" made me realize that i feel that way about my girlfriend and that we cannot take people you love for granted. He is a true champion, a man that we all want to be...in our hearts and to not let others see ...Men on a whole in this day and age are very competitive and need a "Rocky" to look up to. A figure that tells us that we are like him in every way, a boxer, a labouer, a doctor, a teacher. No matter the state of affairs in your life, the true character of a man is what Rocky is about. A underdog that went the distance and just like us, we must go the distance !!! ...take it in and enjoy the triumph!!. To do it with class and silence. If you remember Rocky 4, when he tells his son "when you go that one more round, when you don't think you can, makes all the difference in your life". I know I had my hardships and came up on top because of that line stayed in my head. Someday, when i have a son, i will tell him the same thing. That is sooo true and brilliant writing. This is what inspires people. I am the type man today because of Rocky Balboa and his simple silence and total action...there are too many people talking and no action. Anyways, Sly i believe that i can speak for all the fans here...thank you for being a pillar for us and a man who gave us the courage to believe that we can recognize all that is good in ourselves.

With kindest regards
