Own A Piece of the Rock

Here's great news for "Rocky" and SYLVESTER STALLONE fans [and just in time for holiday gift giving]!! A. THOMAS SCHOMBERG, the creator of the original "Rocky" statue for the movie "Rocky III", and MGM studios, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of "Rocky", are teaming to produce miniature ROCKY sculptures for fans!

That's right, you too, can own a miniature "Rocky" sculpture as seen in the "Rocky" movies! They come in two sizes and a price range that can fit any budget! Click HERE to learn more!

I'm sure by now that most of SYLVESTER STALLONE / "Rocky Balboa" fans have seen the second trailer for "Rocky Balboa", but if you haven't click HERE and you will!

Click HERE for a link to a really cool "Rocky Balboa" resource site. Get the stuff you need to help spread the word!

Finally for today's update we have another question with Sly!

Enjoy!
-Craig Zablo

Craig Zablo: Do you ever consider revisiting "The Bodyguard" or "Maggie's Eyes" [two unproduced screenplays that Sly wrote]?

SYLVESTER STALLONE: Well, "The Bodyguard" could work. I don't know if it's right for me because, you know, you write it in a certain time in your life when you're thinking like that, so that may be a naiveté. I would revisit them to direct. But I'm spending a lot of time on Rambo right now. That, that's really an important film because I think that action films have somewhat gone out of favor or just gone out of style. Today it's more fantasy, more sci-fi, more colorful action characters. It's not so much flesh and blood. So I, I'd like to explore Rambo in a way that it's almost an homage to action films because I don't think they're gonna stick around the way they were...[with]such a force, such a presence like in the 80's and 70's and, you know, up into the 90's.

So doing Rambo's going to be a real challenge because it's kind of like a, you know, what you call a handmade, hands on film. Not a lot of CGI. It's things that are actually feasible you know. I think it's great what they do with "Spider-Man" and "X-Men"... it's very creative. But I think this would also be a challenge too.

Oh the JOYYYYYYYYYYY, Rocky 6 , I still don't belive that it is true. I saw the shorts and we all know what is going to happen but who cares it will be the movie of the decade, by a long way. Roco looking better than ever, blount forced trouma sounds good. The only thing that makes me happeir is Rambo 4, lets face it we needed a new one we are helpin the Afganies fight the russians any more. Do you think it will be a remake of no 3 in reverse, what ever way just bring back the great old action we all love and have missed so much. Thanks for all the great times and inspiration SLY, us middle size white guys still have someone out their for us, its good its you.

Thanks Again, Adam Warwick

Statues remind me of those little statues you get when you visit the Statue of Liberty. Maybe a special "onsite" replica version could be sold from within the Philadelphia Art Museum, with proceeds going to a worthy cause!

This could be the best statuette ever... except that a Chuck Norris action figure could roundhouse kick the Rocky figurine into another dimension if he wanted to.

I saw in the stallonezone.com: "doomed", "misunderstood artist", "jokes, humiliations, embarrassment". I saw here: "big mistakes","autobiography from the grave", "morrass of moodiness" and (the audience have certainty) I saw "have some fun, MAYBE"
Thanks for Lord (and show bussines) the artists have wine and millions money! (I eat pop-corn, I'm a Third World's lady).
I have to go.

Craig I saw this short interview on stallone on the movies.go.com
site incase you wanna see it.

Just which demos Sylvester Stallone will be able to attract for next month's Rocky Balboa, a k a Rocky 6, remains to be seen, but we have to admit … we kinda want to see it. The New York Times reports that the movie, starring the 60-year-old Stallone as the once-great Philadelphia boxer, wisely not only embraces the idea of a 60-year-old washed-up prizefighter duking it out with a young champion as being ridiculous, but the movie's heart springs from perpetual comeback kid Rocky. "(The) story's drive comes from its obvious attempt to grapple with irrelevance," according to the Times — which quotes Stallone as saying he envisioned the movie as a chance to prove his generation still has plenty to contribute. "An artist dies twice, and the second death is the easiest one," the Oscar winner says. "The artistic death, the fact you are no longer pertinent — or that you're deemed someone whose message or talent has run its course — is a very, very tough piece of information to swallow." Rocky Balboa hits theaters on Dec. 22, while Stallone is also in pre-production on another sequel, Rambo IV.

Yea the commercial is cool. did anyone see the one where Rocky's eyes are all wattery when he's with adrian at her grave? theres 2 commercials Ive seen both on espn and classic sports, and just last night the second tv spot was on the "bravo" channel.

First time i saw the commercial, i thought how ridiculous could it be to have Rocky fighting a kid.
Didnt seem to make a whole lot of sense and kinda gimmicky. As i learned more about the movie and what societal points he's hoping to make in the film, can't wait to see it. I just hope i look that good when im 60, well im 30 and he's much more ripped than i am. Good Luck Sly!

I am gonna go out and get what I am worth, and Rocky's final round made me want to do that. It made me want, it gave me hope when there was none, thats why I need this and want this. Whats old is new and I think SLY is attuned to that. When Batman Begins came out it made you think "Yeah if I had enough money I could be batman" it was just an ordinary man with gadgets. With Rambo, I think whats old is new, an ordinary man with an extraordinary heart and passion. If he brings that back to the screen, we havent seen that in a while, it will be a huge hit. I know for myself, I want to remember when I went to the movies when I was 14, this will be a great way to recapture my own fleeting youth. I CANT WAIT FOR ROCKY BALBOA, OPENING NIGHT I AM THERE!!!

Hey SLY, thanks for the memories of all the Rocky movies. I was just a youngin' when the original came out(1976) but I remember every moment of it. Im sure I aint the only one to admit that I cried when Rocky said, at the end of Rocky II, "yo Adrian, I did it!" This story has touched millions of people across the country, and across generations. I personally cannot imagine life without the Rocky movies. I look forward to seeing Rocky Balboa when it comes out this week. Thanks again, great job, and I wish you well in all your future endevors.
