Frank Stallone Checks In!

Frank Stallone checked in with some candid photos that he took on the last day of shooting for "Rocky Balboa." He also passed along this:

Hey Craig:
Enjoy these candid photos I took on the set. "Take You Back" is starting to get airplay and with the support of the loyal Rocky fans maybe I have a hit again. It will start online Dec 5th on Itunes and all the other sites.Take care Craig.

As most SYLVESTER STALLONE / ROCKY fans know, Frank has been supportive of the StalloneZone for years. He's one of the most talented and down-to-earth celebs you'd ever meet. I know that our support will mean a lot to Frank and send a strong message as to the popularity of "Rocky Balboa." Enjoy Frank's candid photos and be sure to request, download and purchase "Take You Back" when it premieres on December 5th!
-Craig Zablo

And as an added bonus, here's another question with Sly!

Craig Zablo: Is there a chance we'll ever see Hunter [novel written by James Byron Huggins specifically with Sly in mind as the lead character!] on the big screen?

SYLVESTER STALLONE: You're kidding. I remember Byron wrote Hunter and at that time I was just, you know, not having a good go. I was a little out of favor with Hollywood. So I couldn't, you know, green light anything. I'm glad you brought it up because I haven't seen that for a while. I, I'd like to yeah. I'd love to try to revisit that and see it. I remember he wrote it from scratch. He was a good ole boy Byron.

Great Pics,
you know I am so excited to see this final Rocky movie. I have nothing but good memories because even though my parents are now divorced, we all still had a great time watching the films the first day they were released. My dad now in texas said he might be here in time for christmas and I just hope we can all see the final chapter in this cinderella story as a family. Craig, by the way, if you have any ideas on my website therockysaga.com i would greatly appreciate that. you can e mail me at

This is great stuff. "Take you back" is a great song, one of my favorites. The music to rocky movies has always been great. I think Rocky V was a really good movie, it just needed a little more original music, maybe a little more Frank Stallone.

Craig, to get the perfect "10", you need to get a couple of comments with Burt Young. I would love to hear what he thinks about Paulie!

Yo, Burt!

It's always good to know that there's this brotherly-bond between the Stallone brothers - Sylvester and Frank. They are a part of what made the "Rocky" series' come to fruition and be successful for what it is today ... And it's nice of Frank (and Craig by loading these on web) to share these pictures, as well.

If Sly played in hunter, It would probably be the best movie of all time. The Book was one of the best books i have ever read, and Sly would fit the part to a "T". Sly, if you're reading this blog, You gotta do it man!

ROCKY ROCKY ROCKY ROCKY ROCKY!!!!....it has been way to long. We need some sick fights and intense training sequences! Everyone has been an underdog at one point in their life and its about time the younger generation gets some motivation like we did from the original movies. I can not believe it is less then one month away.

I went to see de javu last night and as soon as I saw the green screen that said PG-13 for "boxing violence" i knew it was the trailer!! Finally!! It was so incredible to see it on the big screen. Afterwards you could tell everyone in the theater was excited and or shocked. I'll be first in line at the movies on the 22nd.

Hi, my name is Steven!
I believe I'm one of Stallone's biggest fans, and I can't wait to see Rocky again on the big screen.
I must admit that I'm a bit worried about the soundtrack. All Rocky movies have a great soundtrack exept Rocky V, propably becouse it had to much Rap in it and Bill Conti only had that stupid song intitled "Can't stop the fire" in the tracklist. "Go for it" it was a good song but Rocky doesn't need this!
Did Bill Conti score something new for this movie, or at least re-edited some from the past? I know that he had scored something, but what? I saw on amazon a cd intitled "ROCKY BALBOA - THE BEST FROM ROCKY" coming out on December 12th, wich includes the song "it's a fight" that U can hear in the trailer.
It is this the official soundtrack? I hope the answer is No!
Does anybody know if and when a new Rocky Balboa soundtrack is coming out?
Anyway, I trust Stallone and Bill (karate kid OST was fantastic), and this is going to Be the best Rocky ever!!!
Love ya Sly, and all the fans from all over the world. Sly still got something "BIG" in the basement!

Please, please, please, you must do "Hunter!" That would be one of the coolest movies to hit the screen!

Sly, you are the personification of that character, it would be a crime if anyone else ever played it!!!

Mr. Stallone,

You have a loyal fan here for many years. My name is Paul Watler and I am writing from Iraq where I work as a Security Specialist. Your movie is highly anticipated by everyone I know. I also read and still own a copy of HUNTER. Now's the time, sir, NOW IS THE TIME. There is a place in North Carolina that breeds black yukon wolf mixed breeds that would fit the part of Ghost to a "T". Look up www.youngwolf.com and see for yourself!

I'm telling you, Stallone pulled it off--and pulled it off well. "Rocky Balboa" was a hit I plan to see again. Some of the critic dismissals are way off point. I recommend folks check some interviews with Sly, read some reviews, and then get to the theater more than once to see this beautiful farewell to indelible Americana and human possibility. Human struggle is poignantly and believably delivered. Ya get Rocko and ya get Paulie, and the whole film clips along one encouraging scene after the other. At 31 and dealing with some of the movie themes myself, I went to a theater in an old neighborhood of mine on opening day in Salt Lake. The matinee crowd and I were with Sly all the way. He really achieved the impossible--I was surprised, relieved, and feeling good about life.
Give it a 9.3.

Definately was a great movie....a perfect way to end it and I loved the full circle lesson that is imbedded in the film. The Rocky movies are about far more than boxing and certainly even with 5 not being the greatest movie ever this series is what Stallone will be remembered for....Sorry Rambo...

I am taking my boys (5) to see Rocky Balboa tonight. I know, I know if I were a true Rocky fan (AND I AM) I would have seen it already right? Anyway my 18 year old says it is the best one yet (he saw it already) I prefer ROCKY II. Anyway, how about Stallone keep on writing a Rocky VII where his son and Apollo's son fight? Rocky could train Robbie "the snake" Balboa...ok that may be lame, but you know where I am going with this one!

WE LOVE YA ROCK!
